Well, we all know what a truly craptastic winter we had. So far, spring has been an epic fail as well. It is May 2nd, and it is still FREEZING COLD! It has rained non-stop for the past week, and quite frankly, I am sick of it.
I know, I should not complain. In the wake of all of the horrendous weather that our fellow countrymen have endured, we have very little to complain about. Yes, we get insanely cold and insanely wet weather most of the year, be it rain or snow, but at least we are not contending with crippling rainstorms or destructive tornadoes. I am trying to see the silver lining in all of these clouds, but I'm having a hard time doing so. I want sun! I want warm air! I want flip flops, tank tops, and tan lines! I think I, as well as all of you, deserve it after the never ending winter we all just suffered through.
One thing I know for sure is this: spring and summer will get here. Sooner than later, we will all be complaining about the heat and humidity, and forgetting about all of this. That is the thing with us humans: we are fickle creatures who are never content with what we have. All I can say is this: I CANNOT WAIT TO COMPLAIN!
With that being said, we are back at it, and our outlook for this year is bright, even if the sun is not. We have hired what we believe to be our best set of crewmen that we have ever had. Our men our out working in this horrific weather, with smiles on their faces the whole way! I truly commend each of them. One thing's for sure, there is a reason I work in the office!
Due to the early onset of winter, many of our fall cleanups did not get completed. We started this spring with those. Next come the spring cleanups, and then all of our maintenance work. Please bare with us the next few weeks. We will go out of our way to keep everyone in the loop regarding our schedule, but we are fighting what seems to be an uphill battle with this weather. As always, everyone will get done, we are just unsure of timing at this point.
If you need anything, please do not hesitate to call me directly at 585-924-4488. I will be happy to help in any way I can, and to answer any quesions that arise. If you have not already scheduled your spring projects, it is certainly not too late! Keep in mind that we schedule on a first come, first served basis, and the earlier you return your contracts, the earlier your project will get done.
So, Happy Spring, I think. Please pray from bluer skies and warmer temps, and we will do the same.
