Using knowledge and experience gained from working in the field, John recognized an opportunity to start John Welch Enterprise, Inc. in 1997. The benchmark for success and growth has been, and continues to be, commitment to customer satisfaction and excellence in quality.
John has a broad knowledge and skill base pertinent to the field. He is a Certified Electrician, a Certified Lead Abatement Contractor and Gas Line Installer. He was NY State's first PICP (Permeable Interlocking Concrete Pavement) Certified Installer, as well as an ICPI (Interlocking Concrete Pavement Institute) Certified Installer, and an NCMA (National Concrete Masonry Association) Certified Installer of segmental retaining walls. John is also a certified applicator of pesticides, and continually works to expand his knowledge of the trades.
On the first and third Sunday mornings of the month you may hear John on The Home Repair Clinic at WHAM 1180 on the dial. He acts as co-host to Jim Salmon on the show which allows him to share his knowledge of hardscape and home improvement, as well as have a few laughs.
In addition to his many other accomplishments, John is a certified concrete paver installer course instructor (one of twenty five in North America), and was the 2013 Victor Business Person of the Year.
John volunteers as a coach and at the Victor Schools along with other activities involving his children. He also has served as Chairman on the Victor Board of Ethics.
John resides in Victor with his wife Kim, and their three children. He enjoys camping with his family, skiing, ATVs, motorcycles, and racing anything.
